‘Faster’
Released in 2004, ‘Faster’ was to me, the first film to go inside the pinnacle of motorcycle racing, the MotoGP series. Filmed around the world during the 2001 and 2002 seasons, the documentary asks the question: how do you go faster than the rest, how do you win in this dangerous game? The game was the World Championship contested in a series of sixteen races, on five continents, by twenty-four of the world's top riders.
‘The Doctor, The Tornado & The Kentucky Kid’ (DTK)
Released in 2006, DTK is a documentary that tells the story of one of the biggest motorcycle race in American history, the 2005 Red Bull US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, California. It is the definitive story about motorcycle racing at the very highest level using the most sophisticated machines and the world’s most talented riders. Valentino Rossi (The Doctor), Colin Edwards (The Texas Tornado) and Nicky Hayden (The Kentucky Kid) battle for top bragging rights.
Both movies are written and directed by Mark Neale (film maker) and narrated by Ewan McGregor (actor and motorcycle world-traveler). Both are rated “must see” or “see over and over again”.
