“Baja California is one of the few places you can go that is still wild and
undeveloped,” says Peter Wurmer of EagleRider Motorcycle Rentals who organizes
guided motorcycle tours throughout the globe. This eight-day excursion, a sure
cure for the winter blues, kicks off in Los Angeles on a late-model 1340cc
Harley-Davidson of your choosing. In a roaring pack of eight to twenty riders,
you will cruise through untamed desert, passing ancient pueblos and rustic surf
towns—covering between 80 to 135 miles each day. The trip culminates at Baja’s
Lands End in Cabo San Lucas where you can take advantage of the sun, surf and
sand before flying back home. Or you can opt to see “the other side of the
cactus,” and book the 16-day excursion, which takes you back up the peninsula.
Pricing includes accommodations and starts at $2,420 for the eight-day excursion
and $3,965 for the 16-day roundtrip. (Click image to enlarge)
