Some helpful advice to anyone touring two-up on a motorcycle with your
mate—preparing for safety and comfort with the right riding apparel will save
you both a lot of heartbreak on the open road, far from home, when the weather
conspires to upset things. The added benefit is that it is a bonding
experience to get suited up in matching riding gear.
To help you
brave the elements Olympia Moto Sports offers its Airglide 2 Mesh Tech jacket
($220) and pants ($190) for men and women. This all-weather, multi-season suit
combo is constructed from rugged DuPont Cordura, for superior abrasion resistance, and fitted with Motion Flex armor at the elbows, shoulders and
knees. The removable Thermolite-treated liner is water- and wind-resistant that,
when combined with the Airglide’s airflow mesh panels, allows the jacket and
pants to accommodate a wide range of riding conditions. Available in five
colors, Airglide apparel is easy to color-coordinate to your machine. (Click image to enlarge)
Complete your touring outfits with Alpinestars’ Effex Gore-Tex boots ($220), constructed from water-resistant full-grain leather with Gore-Tex lining. For
hand protection, there are the men’s SP-S full-grain leather gloves ($70)
and, for her, the Stella SP-S glove ($40) with full-grain Pittards
leather construction.www.olympiamotosports.com | www.alpinestars.com
