Were Kubla Khan a biker, it would be easy to imagine the decreer of stately
pleasure-domes charging through the Mongolian mists geared up in this opium den
inspired collection from Icon Motosports. The florid Legion Motorhead jacket
($650) features Icon’s exclusive “straight cut” fit, coupled with classic
styling.
The snarling serpents, leaping flames and exploding skulls of
the Legion Mainframe helmet ($280) complement the Motorhead’s bestial theme.
Beneath the super-heated graphics, a venting system keeps the cool air flowing. (Click image to enlarge)
The black-on-black Hooligan 2 gloves ($35) add some menacing minimalism to
the package. Featuring abrasion-resistant goatskin palms and flexible
thermoplastic knuckle armor, the Hooligan is strong on defense.
Stylishly
loose-fitting Anthem pants ($110) are constructed from abrasion resistant
14-ounce denim. Articulated hips and knees are designed for ease of movement,
while Aramid fiber hip and knee reinforcements help cut road-burgers from your
diet.
Icon’s Field Armor Chukka boots ($115) are aimed at riders who demand
a well-engineered motorcycle boot, but don’t necessarily embrace the orthopedic
footwear vibe. The Chukkas ensure safety in the event of an asphalt incursion,
but are comfortable and discreet enough to wear around the office, or your
own private Xanadu.
Dunlop Motorcycle Tires will offer a series of high-quality, collector’s edition Legends posters, with the net proceeds benefiting injured riders through the Clayton Memorial Foundation. ::MORE::
