The Arai RX-7 Corsair Sete helmet
($726) is an accumulation of high-tech helmet science.
The shell is constructed of an advanced, patented Structural Net Composite for
superior reinforcement in an "organic" design that conforms to the head’s
natural shape. Arai pioneered the use of air diffusers for
ventilation—concentrating on drawing stale air out as opposed to pushing fresh
air in. The RX-7 is lightweight, with excellent visibility.
Spidi’s Varitek 2-piece leather suit ($1,000)
employs Biomechanic hard protection in elbows, shoulders, knees, and back.
Elastic sections in the crotch, shoulders and elbows provide essential
flexibility. Comfort is enhanced with a quilted liner and a design cut that
naturally accommodates the ergonomics of a seated riding position. (Click image to enlarge)
Made from durable cowhide, the Spidi Carbo Six glove
($220) employs carbon fabric protection on the knuckles, fingers
and backhand without infringing movement. Fingers are vented, while microfiber
palms provide added grip.
Sidi Vertigo Te-Por boots ($300) have an ingenious calf tension
adjuster for a custom, personalized fit that, when combined with thousand-cell
memory foam and shock-absorbing heel, results in an extremely comfortable boot.
A breathable, perforated Teflon treated lining absorbs moisture and dries
quickly.
