Powerfully aggressive, yet elegant and compact, the 2006 Moto Guzzi Griso is a
naked bike that masters Italy’s twisting mountain roads and sharp
highways. This café-racer–with-an-attitude delivers an exhilarating and
precise ride through the most technical turns and on the fastest straights. Its
up-to-the-minute technology includes a “reactive” drive shaft that
transmits power from a muscular 1,064 cc V-twin nourished by electronic fuel
injection. The Griso’s chassis components enhance its striking looks and
performance. A robust 43 mm upside-down fork is adjustable in spring preload,
hydraulic compression and rebound damping, and rising rate linkages coupled to
fully adjustable monoshock damp the rear wheel. The elegant Brembo brakes not
only provide visual appeal but pack aggressive stopping punch: There are two 320
mm floating stainless steel rotors and calipers with four opposed pistons on the
front wheel and a floating caliper with parallel pistons at the rear. A
beautifully shaped tank and chromed exhaust collectors add to the Griso’s
stylish appearance. It is available in black or red and sells for
$12,990.
Dunlop Motorcycle Tires will offer a series of high-quality, collector’s edition Legends posters, with the net proceeds benefiting injured riders through the Clayton Memorial Foundation. ::MORE::
