HOG Riding Marathon

Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) members around the world logged 4,373,937 miles during the club's second annual Million Mile Monday riding marathon.

The members set the bar pretty high after last year's three million miles, and they are ecstatic to have exceeded that by more than 45 percent this year, said Benny Suggs, General Manager of the Harley Owners Group. But more important than the number of miles ridden is that so many of our members joined together on this special day to share the experience of motorcycling.

The 2009 Assen MotoGP victory by Fiat Yamaha Team rider Valentino Rossi had special significance, as he crossed the line Rossi claimed the 100th GP race win of his incredible career and most of his victories, 41 to be exact, were obtained with Yamaha. Today, motorcycle manufactures have taken the "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" approach, and are installing slippers on many of the top performance bikes now found on your local showroom floor.
